THE SADC Truck Drivers Association of Zambia has clarified that it has not called for the infinite strike that drivers intend on starting on March 1st, 2024 to demand for broad interests, among other things. Last week, association Secretary General Jackson Banda revealed that he would take part in the strike to give solidarity to the drivers, whom he feels are underpaid. However, Banda has distanced his association from the strike, insisting that a Tanzanian national called the protest instead.
