THE Food Reserve Agency (FRA) says there shall be no unnecessary movement of maize from one beneficiary district of the Community Sales Programme to another as it implements interventions to combat food insecurity. In a statement, Monday, FRA Executive Director Mwansa Chamatete advised affected communities to avoid panic buying in order to rationalise and sustain the utilisation of the stocks from FRA. “The Food Reserve Agency (FRA) wishes to assure the public of continuous supply of maize to the drought affected areas of the country through the implementation of its strategic relief programmes aimed at making maize available to vulnerable households in the affected areas.
