ENERGY expert Dr Johnstone Chikwanda says Zesco was indeed at risk of collapsing if it had not increased electricity tariffs. However, Dr Chikwanda says the increased tariffs won’t have an immediate impact on consumers due to the ongoing loadshedding. Last Friday, National Road Fund Agency (NFRA) Board Chairperson Noel Nkoma said Zesco risked total collapse if it had continued with the same tariffs.
