THE Ministry of Agriculture has called for applications for the cultivation and delivery of winter and early maize, to be planted by June 15, 2024 and October 31, 2024, receptively. In an invitation for applications, the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, John Mulongoti, stated that the minimum quantity required for a farmer to be considered for contract award was 500 metric tonnes. “The government of the Republic of Zambia, through the Ministry of Agriculture, hereby invites applications from local farmers who would be interested to cultivate and deliver winter or early maize to the Food Reserve Agency (FRA).
