THE Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has announced a reduction in pump prices for petrol, diesel, kerosene and jet A-1 to K26.61, K23.25, K21.06 and K22.39 per litre, respectively. In a statement, ERB Board Chairperson James Banda said the reduction was driven by 4.17 percent appreciation of the Kwacha against the US dollar in February 2026. “Since the last price review on 31st January 2026, international prices for Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene/Jet A-1 have increased. Petrol rose by 4.22 percent from US$67.47/bbl to US$70.32/bbl, diesel increased by 7.85 percent from US$76.89/bbl to US$84.74/bbl, and kerosene/Jet A-1 went up by 6.70 percent from US$78.68/bbl to US$83.95/bbl.
