THE Poultry Association of Zambia (PAZ) says poultry production and demand remained stable in the first quarter of 2026, with day-old broiler chick production averaging two million chicks per week. PAZ says the sector also benefited from lower feed costs driven by stable maize supplies and reduced soyacake prices. Speaking in an interview, Friday, PAZ Executive Director Dominic Chanda said broiler prices declined by about K10, trading between K120 and K140 during the first quarter of 2026, compared to K130 and K150 during the same period last year.
