THE Bank of Zambia (BoZ) says no payouts will be made to Investrust Bank Plc claimants until funds are realised and all legal, administrative, and accounting processes are concluded. The Central Bank was responding to recent public statements by alleged former employees concerning settlement of employee-related claims following the liquidation of Investrust. In July 2024 the Central Bank took possession of Investrust Bank PLC due to shareholders’ failure to resolve its insolvency. In a statement, Tuesday BoZ Assistant Director Communications Besnat Mwanza said asset realisation must be done in a manner that preserves value and safeguards creditors’ interests.
