A ZAMBIA Army officer has been dragged to court for allegedly beating up his wife after she failed to buy tissue from the money he gave her to buy household items. Titus Chanda, 48, is facing one count of assault. It is alleged that between April 17 and May 30, 2022, in Lusaka, Chanda assaulted Alice Mubanga thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm. Mubanga, 34, reported to the Police that in April 2022, her husband sent K1,500 to her mobile money account so that she could buy groceries.
