FORMER Livestock Permanent Secretary Annie Songolo has sued Fisheries and Livestock Minister Makozo Chikote demanding damages for defamation over his remarks that he would recommend for her suspension and any other officers involved in the illegal transportation of cattle from Western Province. Dr Songolo has submitted to the Lusaka High Court that Makozo uttered the words with the view to incite the Secretary to the Cabinet to cause her suspension or dismissal, and with the view of establishing her as insubordinate, reckless and incompetent to perform her duties diligently as PS and a Veterinary Doctor with expertise in disease prevention.
