FORMER Home Affairs minister Lt Ronnie Shikapwasha’s widow has appeared before the Lusaka High Court and denied murdering her husband. Jane Lusengo, 73, is facing one count of murder under Section 200 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia. Allegations of the matter are that Lusengo, on January 15, 2024, in Lusaka, unlawfully caused the death of Ronnie Shikapwasha. When the matter came up for plea before High Court Judge Conceptor Zulu, Monday, Lusengo denied the charge after it was read out to her. Justice Zulu adjourned the matter to May 9, 2024, for commencement of trial.
