THE Lusaka High Court has granted former intelligence chief Xavier Chungu bail of K50,000 in his own recognizance, with two working sureties in the sum of K20,000 each. This was after Chungu’s lawyers applied for bail pending trial at the High Court, stating that the accused had been detained at Kabwata Police Station for more than 24 hours without being released or taken to court.
