TONSE Pamodzi Alliance Secretary General Celestine Mukandila has applied to the Lusaka High Court for leave to commence judicial review proceedings against government’s decision to cancel his NRC and Zambian Passport. Mukandila, who has cited the Attorney General as a respondent in the matter, is seeking a declaration to quash government gazette notice no. 1418 of 2026, which purports to cancel and invalidate his National Registration Card and Zambian passport. Mukandila is also seeking an order declaring Gazette Notice No. 1418 of 2026 unlawful and of no effect, pending determination of the judicial review application.
