CHINGOLA West NRPUP losing parliamentary candidate Boris Chansa has withdrawn his petition, challenging the outcome of the election. Chingola West UPND candidate Chipoka Mulenga won the seat with 9,995 votes, while Chansa came second with 9,944 votes. When the matter came up before Judge Lastone Mwanabo, the petitioner made an application to withdraw the Petition.
