Wedson Nyirenda has named four Under-20 stars in his 29-member Zambia provisional team for the 2017 COSAFA Cup tournament in South Africa.

Zambia Under-20 captain Solomon Sakala, Nkana defender Moses Nyondo and Lusaka Dynamos striker Conlyde Luchanga have all received senior team call-ups.

Portugal-based midfielder Emmanuel Banda is also in the team and the only European-based player in the COSAFA Cup team.

The quartet was part of the 2017 U20 AfCON winning team as hosts in March that also reached the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup in South Korea in June.

Ajax Cape Town midfielder Roderick Kabwe and Salulani Phiri from Polokwane City are the PSL players in the team.

Zambia are on standby and will enter the tournament fray at the quarterfinal stage where they will face Botswana on July 1.
