Zambia hope to confirm their passage to the final qualifying stage of the 2018 CHAN tournament when they host Swaziland on Saturday at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

Wedson Nyirenda’s side heads into their first round, final leg qualifying match armed with a healthy 4-0 away win they picked up on July 16 in Swaziland.

However, the players and coach Wedson Nyirenda have refused to start making preliminary bookings for their away August 12 final round, first leg match against either South Africa or Botswana.

“Definitely we cannot underrate Swaziland and we cannot take anything away from them,” Zambia captain Ziyo Tembo said.

“They are a good side and we just have to work to the best of our abilities with the right attitude and everything will be fine.”

Meanwhile, Zambia are most likely to face South Africa next month on the final stretch for a place at the January tournament to be hosted by Kenya.

South Africa beat Botswana 2-0 away on July 15 in Francistown to take into their July 22 final leg home game to be played at Moruleng Stadium.
