Kabange Mupopo failed to make podium in the final of the women’s 400 meters final on Wednesday at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London.

The 2015 All-Africa Games 400 meters champion finished second last in 7th place on a rainy night at the London Olympic Stadium.

She run a time of 51:15 seconds, over two seconds behind American Phyllis Francis who won the title with a time of 49:92.

Outgoing World champion Allyson Felix of the USA finished third after clocking 50:08.

Mupopo’s exit sees the end of Team Zambia’s interest at the World Championships after Sydney Siame earlier finishing 4th in his 200metres semifinal heat.

Siame crushed out of the 2017 IAAF World Championship in London at the semifinal stage of the men’s 200 meters.

The Zambian clocked a time of 20:54 seconds, behind Jereem Richards of Trinidad And Tobago who won the semifinal heat with a time of 20:14 seconds

Joining Siame out at the penultimate stage was Jamaican star Yohan Blake who finished 3rd ahead of the Zambian with a time of 20: 52.
