Napsa Stars yesterday made a short step to reviving its hopes of surviving relegation in week 28 of the FAZ\MTN super league after sharing points with first-placed Zesco United.

A goalless draw saw Zesco make a little upward mobility in points while the ‘Pensioners’ made small progress in ditching the relegation zone.

In an interview with Goal Diggers! Napsa Stars’ coach Muhammad Fathy expressed mild disappointment in the results collected.

“A win would have been a lot better than a 0-0 draw. I’m always looking at collecting maximum three points in all the remaining games but so are other teams. If we are to survive relegation, we have to make sure that we either collect 3 points from every game or share the points. A loss can be a big setback because the same losses put us in the relegation zone,” Fathy explained.

Fathy was introduced to Napsa stars to be the ‘messiah’ after the club recorded three losses consecutively in the days of the 2018 super league.

In other results, Green Buffaloes succumbed to Buildcon [Sunday] as they watched three points disappear in plain sight after conceding two goals.

Lameck Silwaba scored the first goal for Buildcon in the 23rd minute of the first half while Chanda Mushili made it double in the 40th minute.

“It is a good result for us because we have managed to get all the points and we did not allow a goal from them. Buffaloes are a tough team so the strikers knew they had to shoot at any chance,” Buildcon coach Tenant Chembo said.

Meanwhile, Green Buffaloes Coach Bilton Musonda said he had already commented on the loss while on the pitch when asked about what he thought had led to the loss.
