MUFULIRA Wanderers Football Club is counting its losses after armed robbers stormed the club secretariat on Sunday evening, making off with K181,000 in gate takings just hours after a painful home defeat. The incident occurred at approximately 18:00 hours, shortly after the team’s Week 20 loss to Nchanga Rangers at Shinde Stadium. In a brazen sequence of events, the assailants also hijacked a Toyota Harrier, registration number AIF 4314, belonging to Logistics Manager Patrick Mwanza. The vehicle had been designated to transport the cash to Mopani Security for safe keeping.
