Lungu deserves unquestionable loyalty – MwilaBy Zondiwe Mbewe on 23 Jan 2018
Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Mwila says President Edgar Lungu is Head of State and he deserves respect and unquestionable loyalty.
According to a statement issued by PF media director Sunday Chanda, Monday, Mwila was addressing hundreds of Patriotic Front supporters who welcomed him at Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International airport on Sunday afternoon.
Mwila urged the PF in Southern province to work towards growth of the party.
“The ruling party in Southern province just like other regions in the country needs to ensure that party structures in the districts are vibrant. Although Southern province could be said to be the stronghold for the opposition, the PF as a party exists in the province and must work towards growth, unity is cardinal in this crusade,” Mwila said.
And Mwila said President Lungu besides being the leader of the ruling party was Head of State who deserved respect and unquestionable loyalty.
He observed that the PF remained popular saying that was the reason Roan member of parliament Chishimba kambwili together with his Bahati counterpart Harry Kalaba were failing to resign despite being challenged to do so.
Mwila lashed out at detractors peddling falsehoods that PF was corrupt and yet were failing to relinquish their parliamentary seats.
Mwila is in Livingstone to kick start the party mobilization tour of Southern province.
He is expected to visit various districts in the province during which he will interact with party officials at various levels.
He is accompanied by PF member of the Central Committee Kebby Mbewe.
