THE Joint Investigations Team (JIT) has requested the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) to suspend payment to all 31 companies which supplied COVID-19 material to the institution due to ongoing investigations. In a letter dated June 24, 2022 and addressed to the DMMU National Coordinator Dr Gabriel Pollen, Deputy Commissioner of Police Byemba Musole specified that the suspension applied to COVID-19 allied substances which were supplied to the Unit between January and July, 2021. “RE: SUSPENSION OF PAYMENTS TO THE SUPPLIERS.
