THE Joint Investigations Team (JIT) has forfeited 24 motor vehicles to the State after seizing them from various companies and individuals, some of whom are friends of former president Edgar Lungu. According to the JIT, the owners of the vehicles which are valued at K 21,869,419 in total, failed to claim them within a stipulated three months period. A check at PACRA showed that some of the vehicles which have been forfeited to the state were registered under companies owned by friends of the former president, among them Chrint Sichamba who was recently arrested by the Anti Corruption Commission, along with his wife and son, for being in possession of property believed to be proceeds of crime.
