THE Zambia Union of Financial Institutions and Allied Workers (ZUFIAW) says it is saddened with the theft of over K649,000 by some senior Zambia National Building Society (ZNBS) directors. And ZNBS says the theft is currently under investigation. Some senior directors at ZNBS have been caught in a fraudulent scheme in which they created a secret payroll and used it to pay themselves different allowances amounting to over K649,000. Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga confirmed the arrest of three ZNBS employees, saying they had since been charged with the offence of “theft by servant”.
