SUSPENDED Director of Public Prosecutions Lilian Siyunyi’s lawyer Abraham Mwansa says his client’s suspension letter is irregular in that she was directed to vacate her office immediately, even before being heard. President Hichilema recently suspended Siyunyi, acting on the recommendations contained in a report presented to him by the Judicial Complaints Commission. Siyunyi is currently appearing before the JCC on allegations of incompetence and gross misconduct. She is also challenging President Hichilema’s refusal to lift her oath of secrecy in the Lusaka High Court.
