THE Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) says investigations into the National Housing Empowerment Fund (NHEF) Riverdale land scandal have reached an advanced stage. In early 2020, over 2,000 people rushed to secure land in NHEF’s Riverdale City Estate, which the company advertised to be only 17 kilometres from Crossroads Mall. The clients secured various sized portions of land and committed to clearing the full amounts within a five-year period, in equally weighted installments, while those who could pay more were encouraged to do so.
