THE Media Owners Association of Zambia has described the beating of a Petauke journalist, Lovemore Phiri, by suspected UPND cadres as barbaric and inhumane. Phiri, of Pasme FM in Petauke, was beaten by suspected UPND cadres on Friday morning during a breakfast show where callers were calling in on a topic of fertilizer distribution. The suspected cadres stormed the radio station and interrupted a live programme that was discussing farmers’ preparedness for the 2022/23 farming season.
