PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says his government is now putting into action the things it was promising whilst in opposition. Speaking upon arrival from Egypt where he attended the COP27, Wednesday, President Hichilema said the new dawn government wanted to ensure value addition in the timber industry. “We are also saying the market for timber forest products must be a fair market, so that instead of somebody cutting 10 trees to make $100, then they will just need two trees to make $100.
