FORMER agriculture minister Michael Katambo says the UPND administration should take responsibility by ensuring that fertiliser suppliers who defrauded government are arrested and prosecuted. The Public Accounts Committee recently questioned the award of fertilizer tenders to suppliers who defrauded government. However, Ministry of Agriculture Permanent Secretary Green Mbozi said it was difficult to do away with some fertiliser suppliers, adding that the two-year running contracts signed in 2020 were crafted to disadvantage government.
