ENERGY Minister Peter Kapala says President Hakainde Hichilema was given the right information about load shedding ending in Zambia based on the fact that the installed generation capacity is higher than the demand. The Energy Minister says it’s unfortunate that the Zesco Board Chairperson Vickson Ncube had publicly apologised and admitted that the President was “misinformed about load shedding”. Kapala further says Zambia is expected to start importing some power from Mozambique, which he says will help reduce the ongoing load shedding.
