TRANSPARENCY International Zambia (TI-Z) says it hopes that the appointment of Dr Ron Mwambwa as deputy Auditor General will help ensure the continued smooth functioning of the office amid disruptions. And TI-Z has welcomed the swearing-in of new judges but says the appointment process needs to be more transparent than it currently is. Last month, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested 18 individuals in a financial scandal at the Ministry of Finance, among them Auditor General Dick Sichembe, former Secretary to the Treasury Fredson Yamba and Accountant General Kennedy Musonda.
