POLICE yesterday angered former president Edgar Lungu when they surrounded his home and eventually interrogated his wife Esther for alleged theft of motor vehicles. And Lungu’s lawyer, Makebi Zulu, says it is an insult for police to imply that Esther was involved in theft of a motor vehicle because she is the victim in the matter. Meanwhile, former minister of home affairs Stephen Kampyongo yesterday traded insults with a senior police officer during the fracas. Police surrounded Lungu’s premises in Ibex Hill at around 06:00 hours. According to Lungu’s media liaison, 10 police officers arrived at his residence and informed him that they had instructions to search.
