THE Zambia Environmental Management Agency has ordered Mwembeshi Resources Limited to immediately cease all mining and construction activities in Lower Zambezi National Park. The Agency has also ordered the company to immediately submit a site environmental restoration plan for the degraded area in the national park, saying it will have to be restored to its former or better state. And the Agency has further given Mwembeshi Resources Limited one week to prepare a progress report outlining the status of implementation for this directive.
