POLICE in Lusaka are investigating the leakage of the Auditor General’s management letter to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), which contained claims that the money amounting to K65 million forfeited by businesswoman Faith Musonda was not surrendered to the Treasury. But the Ministry of Finance says ACC remitted the money in question to Control 99 on March 3, 2022, after it was handed over to the Ministry of Education at a ceremony witnessed by Auditor General Dr Dick Sichembe, among others. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has also confirmed that the money received from the Treasury went towards the scholarships of 2,780 students.
