DRUG Enforcement Commission (DEC) Director General Nason Banda says the commission is working closely with the Ministry of Health to curb alcohol abuse, especially among younger persons. Health Minister Sylvia Masebo recently disclosed that 46 percent of mental disorders recorded at Chainama Hospital in 2022 were due to alcohol abuse.
