THE Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) has directed Priests to refrain from making any public statements concerning “recent happenings in our country”. According to a memo addressed to Vicars Forane, Priests, Religious Men and Women dated June 12, 2023, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ndola Reverend Benjamin Phiri noted that recent happenings in the country had threatened the cordial relationship that has existed between the church and the state. “Greetings of Peace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
