THE Ministry of Health says through ZAMMSA, Zambia will receive 7,000 health kits every two months for the next one year, a pattern which guarantees an uninterrupted medicine supply chain. And ZAMMSA Board Chairperson Anna Chifungula has urged citizens to sound an alarm whenever they find medicines or medical supplies labeled GRZ in private institutions. Meanwhile, ZAMMSA Director General Billy Mweetwa says government will soon procure a colour coded paracetamol, so that it can be differentiated from the white ones used elsewhere. Government has received a consignment of 7,000 health kits which are part of a larger consignment of 42,000 kits procured from India at a total cost of US$28 million.
