Masebo disputes claim that NHIMA only covers upto K1,500 for cancer treatment

HEALTH Minister Silvia Masebo says it is not correct and it is also misleading to insinuate that NHIMA pays a maximum of K1,500 towards cancer treatment for each patient. Masebo has clarified that there is no limit for the treatment of cancer patients, as this is dependent on their condition. She said this in the National Assembly, Friday. “Madam Speaker, the position of government has not changed and the House may wish to note that there is no limit to the treatment of cancer patients as this is dependent on their condition.
