POLICE yesterday morning denied several opposition party leaders entry into Woodlands Police Station where they had gone to visit Socialist Party leader Dr Fred M’membe before he was finally released on police bond. Only few individuals were allowed entry into the police premises among them, Lusaka Catholic Diocese Archbishop Dr Alick Banda, Chishimba Kamwbili as well as Matero PF member of parliament and his Chiengi Independent counterpart Given Katuta who signed as Dr M’membe’s sureties. And Dr M’membe says Inspector General of Police Graphel Musamba should know that the police service is not a political organisation where he can make political statements.
