INSPECTOR General of Police Graphael Musamba says the police officers involved in the gold scandal have been suspended. And Musamba says he is determined to “park out” wrong doers from the system so that he can adopt officers who will be role models. Some police officers under Kenneth Kaunda International Airport division, including the Commanding Officer Robson Moonga allegedly received thousands of dollars from Egyptian nationals in connection with the gold scam. It is alleged that the officers from investigative wings were received as high as $200,000 in bribes in order to cover up the airport operation which was later foiled by the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC).
