FORMER Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) president George Chisanga has commended the association for speaking out against the Speaker’s decision to effect changes to the leadership of the National Assembly. And Chisanga says going forward, those who will be considered for the Speaker position should be persons who have experienced being in the House. On Wednesday, LAZ president Lungisani Zulu said the association would move the Constitutional Court to pronounce on the procedure for electing a leader of opposition, insisting that it wasn’t in order for the Speaker of the National Assembly to effect leadership changes amid an active court case.
