THE PUBLIC Accounts Committee yesterday asked Copperbelt Provincial Administration Principal Internal Auditor Ilukena Lubasi not to mislead the nation by justifying how 83 officers withdrew salaries totalling K6,672,659 from pay points different from their physical stations. The Auditor General’s report for the financial year ended December 31, 2022, revealed that 83 officers drew salaries in amounts totaling K6,672,659 from pay-points which were different from their physical stations. Further, 54 officers who were transferred to the Copperbelt Provincial Administration from other provinces and departments were drawing salaries from other provinces’ payrolls.
