THE Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Tuesday sent away the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock PS and her officers, telling them that their submissions on various queries in the Auditor General’s report were not authentic. The Auditor General’s report revealed that as at 31st May 2023, a total of 530 animals at Chipompo Livestock Breeding Centre in Kasama district of Northern Province had not been insured. In this regard, the Ministry could not be compensated for the 244 animals that died during the period under review.
