THE Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development says it will take administrative measures against any constituency whose 2023 utilisation of CDF was low. In a statement, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Public Relations Officer Chila Namaiko stated that the Ministry would not withdraw any CDF held in banks but ensure the funds were utilised efficiently. “The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) wishes to inform the public that it is taking administrative measures against any constituency, whose utilisation of the 2023 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) allocation, was low.
