MINISTER of Tourism Rodney Sikumba says the $100 million secured from the World Bank under the great Tourism Development Project will be invested in the rehabilitation of heritage sites. And Sikumba has disclosed that government has increased the tourism sector’s budget allocation to K769.4 million from K589.1 million in 2023 translating to a 30.6% positive variance. Meanwhile, Sikumba has set two million as this year’s target for international arrivals which he says will be achieved through enhanced marketing and promotion of destination Zambia.
