ZAMBIA Revenue Authority (ZRA) Commissioner General Dingani Banda says about K11 billion was not remitted to the authority in 2022 because withholding Value Added Tax agents held on to the money. And Banda says domestic Value Added Tax underperformed by almost K3 billion. The Auditor General’s report on the accounts of the republic for the financial year ended 31st December, 2022 shows that the actual revenue and financing collected, which amounted to K163,941,810,533, was less than the estimated revenue by K9,045,267,002.
