THE Human Rights Commission (HRC) has suspended Director Sindiso Sichone and charged her with misappropriation of funds amounting to K16,350, among other offences. And the Commission has given Sichone a mutual separation offer with full benefits from the time of her employment up to February 16, 2024, which she has reportedly declined to take. Sichone who denies the charge of misappropriation, has instead accused the Commission Chairperson Dr Pamela Sambo of abuse of authority, and reported her to the Anti-Corruption Commission. Meanwhile, Secretary to the Treasury Felix Nkulukusa has revoked Sichone’s appointment as Controlling Officer for the Human Rights Commission.
