TO commemorate Africa Freedom Day, President Hakainde Hichilema yesterday honoured 16 people, among them Chief Kathumba of the Chewa speaking people. And President Hichilema has reiterated that education is the cornerstone of a prosperous Zambia and a prosperous Africa. During the National Honours and Awards Investiture Ceremony, Friday, President Hichilema honoured Gezepi Chakulunta, Yonah Mwale, Robert Banda, Cecilia Kabubi, Sr Mary Courtney, Kambadya Banda (Chief Kathumba), Henry Raphael Moyo and Cynthia Zukas under the President’s Insignia for Meritorious Achievement. He also honoured Emmanuel Bwalya for President’s Insignia of Honour and Tobias Kandanda for the President’s Insignia of Mercy.
