FIVE members of the FixZesco movement have written to the utility company, demanding immediate payment of K5 million in damages for abduction, false imprisonment and assault. Given Kapolyo, Mwiza Zulu, Rizicky Fatacky, Thompson Luzendi and Mputa Ngalande claim that Zesco security officers abducted them from the Lusaka Agricultural and Commercial Show and falsely imprisoned them for over five hours. In a demand letter dated August 6, addressed to the Zesco Managing Director, the five, through their lawyers Malisa and Partners Legal Practitioners, stated that on August 2, Luzendi and Ngalande visited the Zesco stand at the showgrounds when Ngalande saw Zulu and Fatacky being aggressively pulled by two Zesco security officers. “We act for Ms Given Kapolyo, Ms Mwiza Zulu,...
