THE Chipata Subordinate Court has convicted and sentenced Mervis Chongwe, a former Eastern Province Provincial Administration Office Orderly, to 12 months’ simple imprisonment for corrupt practices. In a statement, Thursday, Anti-Corruption Commission Head of Corporate Communications Timothy Moono said in December 2017, Chongwe corruptly obtained K900 from Kondwani Chunga, as an inducement to facilitate employment in the civil service.
