VICE-President Mutale Nalumango has disclosed that as of July 2025, four of the ministers who illegally remained in office after the 2016 dissolution of Parliament have still not paid back the money. She has named Chishimba Kambwili, Panji Kaunda, Fackson Shamenda and Dawson Kafwaya as the four ministers in question, stating that government is currently pursuing them to recover the money owed. The Vice-President was responding to a question in the National Assembly from Katombola UPND MP Clement Andeleki, who asked how many former ministers ordered by the Constitutional Court to refund the money they earned for overstaying in office after the 2016 dissolution of Parliament had paid back.
