GOVERNMENT has announced that it has undertaken a comprehensive institutional restructuring of the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development, marked by the establishment of the new Minerals Regulation Commission (MRC). The Commission is set to commence operations this year as an independent statutory body, and will be headed by a Director General and employ over 200 personnel to enhance regulatory efficiency.
